Yountsville - Ruby Marie White of Yountsville died at 6:15 p.m. after an illness of almost two years. She had been admitted to the hospital three weeks ago. She was 28 years old.

She was born March 19, 1927 near Wallace, the daughter of Basil and Blanche Palmer Meadows. She was first married to Norbert Hardy Leonard in 1944.  Mr. Leonard died Dec 17, 1951. She married Robert L. White in Indianapolis Sept 25, 1954.  She was a member of the Yountsville Methodist Church.  Mrs. White lived in Montgomery County most her life, attending the Wallace and Alamo schools.  

She is survived by her husband, four children: Norbert Hardy Leonard; Ruth Ann Leonard; Wilfred Harry Leonard and Charlotte Lee Leonard all at home; her parents, who reside at Rt 7, Crawfordsville; four brothers, Palmer, Robert, Horace and Paul Meadows all of near Crawfordsville; five sisters, Mrs. Don Newkirk of Ladoga; Mrs. Howard Dickerson; Mrs. Kenny Lewellen; Mrs. Jack Caldwell all of Crawfordsville and Ruth Ellen Meadows who lives with her parents; two grandmothers, Mrs. Salina Hatt of Oregon City, Ore and Mrs. Fannie Meadows of near Darlington and several other relatioves. She was preceded in death by a sisters, Betty Lou and a brother, Kenneth Wayne.  Funeral services will be at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Forrest Strickler of Attica officiating.  Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.  - kbz
